Tractor driver and Stock person:
We currently have a vacancy for an experienced tractor driver and machinery operator who also has livestock management skills.

We have a wide range of arable, grassland and vegetable machinery and tractors from 35 to 160 hp. The successful applicant will have experience in operating and maintaining these as well as skills in the management of beef cattle.

Apart from the main tasks, the role will also involve other work around the farm such as fencing, hedging, building construction or maintenance of existing farm property. A flexible approach to work is needed as occasionally longer working hours will be required during busy periods and tasks may change frequently during the working day. Wage negotiable according to experience. Either temporary or permanent accommodation could be made available. 
 
Grower: The position of full time Grower has become available. We are looking for someone with several years experience in this role who can manage the production of a wide range of vegetable crops for our direct sales outlets. The successful applicant must have good technical skills and be able to operate a range of machinery. You will  have a small team to assist you. You will need to organise and also supervise them on a day to day basis.

The position requires a hard working, self-motivated, reliable person with good attention to detail, who could work either in a team or individually.

You will liase with your manager and  harvest manager on a daily basis to organise the production and harvesting of crops at optimal times. You will need to plan and implement a cropping program that will deliver continuity of supply (wherever possible) for our market stalls, box scheme and wholesale outlets. Good organisational, machinery, computer and management skills are required. Wage negotiable according to experience. Either temporary or permanent accommodation could be made available.

Camphill Community Botton Village :
Is an adult community, nestled in Danby Dale in the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. We are about 300 people of all abilities, living and working together. Our lives are centred around the 5 farms and the many craft workshops. We live with the seasons and the festivals and have a rich and varied cultural life.

Integrated in the community are Botton Waldorf School, The Christian Community, the Biodynamic Farm and Gardening training and The Camphill Eurhythmy School. We have a strong group of Community members and hold The Class Lessons regularly.

We are looking for families and individuals who would like to join us to carry Botton into the future. Our current needs are for people to carry responsibilities in the households, the craft workshops, the farms and the vegetable gardens.

An interest in community life and an openness to anthroposophy are essential.

Couple required on Demeter certified smallholding in Herefordshire.

Our 30acre farm is situated on the Welsh/ Herefordshire borders, at the foothills of the Black Mountains . Our main focus is vegetable production, however we also produce small quantities of pork, beef, lamb, eggs, duck and chicken. We sell directly to families and individuals. Our aim is to produce the best food possible, by creating the correct environment to enable the produce to be of outstanding quality both nutritionally and in its taste. The position would suit anyone with an interest in quality food, its production, cultivation and marketing.

We would like people to start from the spring (March) and stay until the end of October/November. Applicants must be physically fit, and be prepared to work hard, within a team of like-minded workers. Jobs include the sowing of seeds, planting, cultivation, harvesting, lots of weeding, some animal care. And generally mucking in with all aspects of farm life.

Accommodation is basic and self-catering. There are shared amenities between maximum of six people.

As with most beautiful locations we are quite cut off from transport links and shops. Own transport would be an advantage, but not totally necessary.
