We are a professional, fully accredited UK organic certification body and are registered with Defra with the certification code GB-ORG-06. We have successfully been certifying farms, processors and importers for the past 15 years.
These have all been to the EU Organic Regulation, currently EC 834/2007 and the relevant implementing rules. Most of our licensees are also certified according to the Demeter International Standards for biodynamic farming and food production.
We are accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to EN45011 who carry out regular audits of our systems. We are also full members of Demeter International.
Our inspectors employ a fully professional approach and are trained to assess according to the criteria laid out in ISO 19011:2002
We thus audit using a two stage process. First of all the inspector gathers the necessary evidence (labels, formulations, process information and so on). Secondly the information is reviewed by a certification officer who then makes the certification decision.
