Certified biodynamic produce and products need to carry the Demeter Trademark logo (left). This helps with market recognition.

Placement of the logo is regulated by the Demeter Labelling Standards.

The Demeter Trademark Manual is a great help for graphic designers.

The essential components for labelling products that carry the Demeter logo are:

1. Correct colouring and format (details are to be found in the Trademark Manual)

2. Correct positioning - it is recommended to place the logo on the front of the package at the top. Other placements on the front of the package are also allowed. See Demeter Labelling Standards.

3. The strapline immediately under the logo: biodynamic certification

4. Correct Certification coding. If certified in the UK by the Biodynamic Association this is GB-ORG-06

5. The EU logo and country of origin of the agricultural products - see EU logo page.
