Biodynamics is the oldest form of organic agriculture and at the same time the most advanced. In biodynamic agriculture, we look at plants and animals on different levels. With our eyes, we can see their physical appearances; we can discover why they look as they look, and what their appearance tells us about the forces that work through them. In biodynamics we have tools to strengthen our crops on the level of these forces. Biodynamic agriculture is exciting because we are able to support plants and animals at the level of their life forces.
In this biodynamic course we will study the forces that give form to plants. We will find out about the cosmic rhythms that express themselves in plant growth. We will learn about compost, and how we recycle more than just nutrients. We will discover tools we can use to support the life forces, and practice how to work with them.
Whether you are an allotment holder, a student or a farmer this week long biodynamic course will change the way you look at plants and animals. This course is endorsed by the UK Biodynamic Agriculture Association.

"In the seed itself we find the highest degree of contraction and inner perfection" - Goethe
In saving our own seeds we carry this perfection to the next generation of plants and the future of our gardens and food supply.
What is the importance of saving seeds? The quality of seeds is what has driven farmers to Rudolf Steiner to initiate biodynamic agriculture. This is still relevant today.
The course will look at the nature of seeds, how to save your own seeds and even touch on some plant breeding to create your own varieties in the garden. See if you can make your own perfect tomato or squash!
