Horticultural Tutor : Applicants are invited for the following post that will be based near Stourbridge, West Midlands

Horticultural Tutor
Salary £18,600 - £27,850 dependent on qualifications
(40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)

The post holder will be required to work as part of a land work team of tutors, overseeing and running the daily tasks of Valehead Farm in Kinver, near Stourbridge, West Midlands, a 32 acre biodynamically run mixed farm.

The post holder will have specific responsibility for vegetable production and maintenance within the 2 acre market garden; working in conjunction with the Garden Production tutor and Ruskin Vale Organics and to deliver the market garden curriculum to young people with social and learning difficulties. Duties will also include planning daily work, working with apprentices and volunteers, working closely with the land work team, attending regular tutor meetings and completing student assessment records.

To undertake this position successfully you will have:

•    Experience of working with learners with learning difficulties and/ or learning disabilities;
•    Experience and knowledge of biodynamic or organic agriculture/horticulture;
•    A hands on approach to work is essential.
