This is a course for those with an interest in plant medicine\, gardening\, western esoteric traditions\, and anyone curious to explore practical alchemy. The course will run over three weekends. A focus is given each weekend to one of the three stages of the preparation of the spagyric medicine. SUMMARY:Northern Region 100 Years of Biodynamics Events: 11th May\, 13th June\, 25th July & 5th Oct 2024
DESCRIPTION:This year marks 100 Years since the birth of Biodynamics – the Agriculture Course was given by Steiner during the Whitsun time in 1924. We would like to celebrate this event together with everyone interested from our region or further afield. \nThis will consist of four events: we will start together as a group in Botton\, North Yorkshire in May\,  followed  biodynamic preparation spraying events in June and July and finish with with another group gathering at\nClervaux\, Darlington  where we will be sharing the Harmonizing Preparation for everyone to take\nhome. \nThe celebration has a threefold aspect to it as we could imagine the first day as having an emphasis on celebrating the past\, the sprayings on celebrating the present and the last day as looking into and celebrating the future. \nProposed Programme of Events\n\n1. Saturday 11th May 2024\nVenue: Botton Village\,  Danby\, Whitby\, N Yorks \n10am – Welcome and coffee\n10.30am – Introduction and song / Celebrating and remembering all the Biodynamic Work that has happened in Botton / Sharing of the work and experiences of organic and biodynamic work in the area as well as our personal relationship/connection with Botton\n12.30am – Lunch with soup and rolls\n1.30pm – Celebrating stirring and spraying of 500 – future intentions for the different places\n4.00pm – Closing thoughts and looking ahead\n4.30pm – Coffee / tea and depart \nFrom this event we have 2 moments of spraying (500\, 501) in our own areas\, when we would aim to spray at the same time\, holding each other in mind while doing it\,  namely \n2. Thursday 13th June 2024  at 3pm  – sprying of the Horn Manure Preparation \n3. Thurday 25th July 2024 at 6am  – spraying the Horn Silica Preparation \n4) Saturday 5th October  tbc\nVenue: Clearvaux\, Darlington tbc\n10am – Coffee and garden/farm walk for those who don’t know Clervaux. Everyone is welcome.\n12.30pm – Bring and share harvest meal.\n2pm – Eurythmy (TBC)\n2.45pm – Open forum:\nBrief introduction to Hugo Erbe (1885-1965) and the Harmonizing Preparation.\nSharing of our experiences while spraying.\nLooking into the future: What is our task into keeping Biodynamics vibrant and alive in our region? Is there a need for more collective work/study/celebrations of Biodynamics?\n4pm – coffee and good byes. We will be giving the Harmonizing Preparation to everyone to take home. It is time to engage in dialogue and relearn a living world wisdom from the elemental kingdom.”\n* Nature Spirits: The Remembrance  \nAt this gathering we will be exploring the methods used for seership and communication described by the philosopher\, scientist and seer\, Rudolf Steiner. We will be focusing on ways in which we can build a mutually rewarding line of communication with the nature spirits\, in order that we may receive information and\ninsight into their world. By working together with the elementals – which reside in earth\, water\, air and fire – we can become responsible co-creators at this critical time in our evolution. In this workshop Susan will be describing the activities of the nature spirits in the landscape\, in plants and in the human being. We will be looking at ways in which we can effectively help these generous inhabitants of the supersensible realm for the ultimate benefit of us all. \nDuring the weekend we will be exploring:\n1. Rudolf Steiner’s ‘Six Essential Exercises’ for awakening supersensible perception\, with special emphasis on control\nof thinking and control of feeling. (It is more important to be in a state of Grace than to be ‘right’ if you wish to enter\nthe realm of the nature spirits!)\n2. The significance of colour on the inner and outer screen.\n3. The language of sense\, sound and movement.\n4. Protocols for greeting and questioning the nature spirits.\n5. Ways in which the human being can help the elementals return to their right and proper sphere. \nAbout Susan Raven\nSusan Raven is an experienced workshop facilitator and a long time student of Anthroposophy.
