Livestock Farmer needed for Biodynamic/Organic Farm in East Sussex

Hours: 40hr wk inc. some w/e & out of hours; 28 days hols/yr (inc. bank hols)
Salary: 18k, plus staff discount, breakfast, lunch & on-site accommodation.
Farm equipment operation, maintenance, and repair skills are essential.

Tablehurst Farm is an award-winning, 500-acre mixed biodynamic/organic farm in Forest Row, with mob grazing Sussex horned cattle, Jersey dairy herd, arable, pasture, ponds, woodland, and footpaths on Wealden AONB. It includes a vegetable/fruit garden, polytunnels, farm buildings, bakery, pie kitchen, farm shop, café, and accommodation. The farm produce including beef, lamb, pork, poultry, local wild venison, raw dairy, pastries, fruit and vegetables, is mainly sold through the on-site farm shop. 

Reporting to the Farm Manager, the Livestock Farmer will be responsible for livestock husbandry, infrastructure, farm equipment operation/maintenance, inc. tractors & telehandlers, in line with safe systems of work and in accordance with DEFRA & Biodynamic Association guidance.

The role would suit a multi-skilled farmer with good communication skills, able to work as member of a team, and with proven knowledge of regenerative farming practices.
