Grow your future and ours at Weleda UK …..

The show garden surrounding our offices is an important resource for staff, visitors and wildlife. We have several herbaceous borders, a medicinal herb garden, compost areas, ponds, lawns and mixed shrub borders, all managed following organic/biodynamic principles.

Due to retirement, a rare opportunity has arisen for a passionate, enthusiastic and reliable individual to join us, to continue with the development and maintenance of our grounds and gardens. Other duties will include litter picking, site recycling, composting and all other grounds maintenance related tasks.

Ideally, this will suit someone looking to work 3 days per week from Monday to Friday (approximately 21 hours per week). The successful candidate will have a passion for gardening and ideally will have an interest in organic methods of horticulture and have a desire to do the ‘right thing’ for the environment. You will take pride in your work and have
good organisational skills with a flexible attitude. Excellent practical skills are required in all areas of garden maintenance, including the use of petrol-powered garden machinery.

You will be happy to work alone without supervision but you will also have the ability to work as part of a team as you will sometimes be required to assist other co-workers at our 13-acre ‘production’ gardens in nearby Shipley. When weather conditions prohibit work outside, there will be other non-gardening tasks to help support other areas of the business.

Our ethos

honestly and ethically and placing responsibility on each and every one of us to uphold these values.

When will we get to know you?
We look forward to receiving your application which should include your CV and covering letter, convincing us of your ability and demonstrating your interest in horticulture and the environment.
