Session 6 -4th August The garden as an organism
Cost: These courses are being offered free of charge; please note that in exchange, participants are asked to commit to attending all 6 sessions and complete feedback sheets at the end of each session which will contribute to the ongoing research that began in 2018.
A simple, tasty, homemade biodynamic lunch will be served – Cost £5 per session / £30 for all 6 – to be paid at the time of booking. Places are strictly limited so we advise booking early!
About Vivian Griffiths and the Local BD Group:
A biodynamic gardener in Camphill Communities from the 1970s to 2009 in rural and urban locations (Botton, NYorks , Larchfield, Middlesbrough,and Camphill Stourbridge West Mids) and on the BDA Council into the new century, Vivian and Lesley came in 2009 to Cumbria to take people with special needs on holidays and involve themselves in Brantwiod’s Soil Life Project sponsored by Ruskin Mill Land Trust and carried by Brantwood’s Estate Manager Sally Beamish. Since 2016 Vivian has been a Trustee of Ruskin Mill arising out of this work and one of the founding members of The new Brantwood BD Group set up in the summer of 2017. There is also a thriving local biodynamic group whose members will contribute their expertise and enthusiasm to the teaching of this course.

For the first session: The Plot is on Urswick Road out of Ulverston from Princes St., past Railway Station, Victoria High School and right after dip to Cistercian Way and Urswick Road.
Trains to Ulverston Station 1/2 hour walk and Buses X5 Kendal to Barrow stops nearby on Colthouse Lane.

The Plot is just the right place for the first sessions, we move to Brantwood for later sessions.
