Seasonal Worker

The Organic Herb Trading Company is looking for 2 seasonal workers to work in our 2 acre herb field where we grow over 60 different varieties of herbs.  Everything in the herb field is done by hand from composting and bed forming to propagation and harvesting and of course weeding! This is a great opportunity for someone to learn about all aspects of organic herb growing from propagation through to harvesting and drying as well as general maintenance.

This role will support the Herb Field Manager, Sarah Weston.  Sarah is committed to organic growing, has a great work ethic and is keen to share her knowledge and expertise. You will be working in a team with Sarah.

The successful candidate must have:

• Previous growing experience
• Good plant knowledge
• The ability to work well in a team and on your own
• Be physically fit and strong as there is a lot of manual handling due to everything being done by hand
• Good time keeping and an ability to meet deadlines
• A passion for organic growing and herbs
• A positive can-do attitude as we work whatever the weather!

Qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential. We are in a rural location so own transport strongly recommended.

This is a 6-month fixed term contract from the start of April 2021 to the end of September 2021. Salary of £17, 556.50
