A community-owned biodynamic farm in Sussex, Old Plaw Hatch Farm, won awards for two of their cheeses at the Artisan Cheese Awards in May. Plaw Hatch Aged & Crumbly was awarded Gold, whilst Plaw Hatch Halloumi won a Bronze.
Old Plaw Hatch Farm’s biodynamic cheeses are made by hand with raw milk from their own herd of 35 cows.
The Plaw Hatch cheeses were judged alongside more than 400 cheeses from across the British Isles by a panel of over 60 judges from across the cheese and food industry.
