Welcome to 100 Years of Biodynamic Practice
23rd April 2024The Effective Use Biodynamic Preparations Spring into Summer
19th June 2024The first ever awards honouring one hundred individuals, farmers, growers and businesses who have been restoring health and wellbeing to our soils, food, people and planet during the last one hundred years!
Since 1924 when Rudolf Steiner, the founder of biodynamics, delivered his seminal lectures published later as “The Agriculture Course” on the continent, many people there and in the UK embraced his ground breaking regenerative insights and world view and began putting them into practise. All this experience led to the creation of the Demeter brand and the first Demeter standards in 1928 – offering consumers a guarantee of high quality biodynamic food and products.
From that moment on, the movement kept growing and in the last decade alone biodynamic hectares have increased by 57%, reaching 255 000 hectares in 2022 cared for by more than 7 000 farmers worldwide.
It continues to grow and bear fruit as a healing and regenerative organic approach, offering positive solutions to many of the ecological and human challenges we are facing today.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication of many people over many decades so we invite you to nominate your biodynamic pioneers and champions – of today and yesteryear.
