 A Strong Start in the Kitchen Garden  11am – 1pm  £15 
Join Market Gardener Harry for a guided springtime walk of the Kitchen Garden. With hints and tips on the many ways we develop plant health and resilience, and on how to lay the foundations of a productive growing year. Topics covered will include: successful sowing practices, using natural sources of fertility, the benefits of making compost teas, plant protection in spring, soil preparation, and biodynamic practices for promoting vitality. 25th April 2025 –  Springtime Secrets for a Thriving Garden 11am – 1pm £15
Discover the art of natural resilience on a guided springtime walk through the ornamental gardens at Waltham Place.
Learn expert hints and tips to cultivate plant health, boost vitality, and lay the groundwork for a productive growing year.
Topics will include: Successful sowing practices for healthy seedlings  –  Harnessing natural sources of fertility – Protecting your plants in spring -Soil preparation for optimal growth – Biodynamic practices to promote vitality and harmony.  To include a glass of organic cordial.

JULY
5th July 2025 – Raw Milk Day 10am  – 4pm  £55 to include refreshments
An experiential day exploring the role of livestock in biodynamic farms, with an emphasis on our cattle and raw milk micro dairy. Much more than providers of fertility, livestock shape the environment and the rhythm of the farm. Join the team for a milking session and get to know the herd through observation and anecdotes from the working day. We will also explore our reasons for opting to run a raw milk micro dairy and the nutritional benefits of raw milk.  This event includes refreshments. 19th July  2025 – Biodynamic Plant Propagation Day at Waltham Place 10am  – 4pm £55 to include refreshments
Join us for a hands-on workshop dedicated to the art of plant propagation, hosted by the ornamental team at Waltham Place. Discover the practice of raising plants in harmony with biodynamic and naturalistic principles.This experiential day will guide you through a variety of propagation techniques, including: Techniques for splitting and dividing plants. -Techniques for taking cuttings -Sowing seeds and nurturing seedlings -Practical tips for sustainable and natural plant care -Understanding and working with the biodynamic planting calendar.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced gardener, this workshop offers valuable insights into how to foster healthy and thriving plants. Refreshments are included in the day. Please bring a packed lunch and dress for the weather. At the end of the day we will give you a couple of samples of your work to take home with you.

20th September 2025 – Seed Saving  10am  – 4pm £55 to include refreshments
Seeds are one of the key issues for food sovereignty and climate change mitigation. In a time when diversity and quality are declining, it is imperative to reconnect once again with the practice of harvesting seeds that are tolerant and adapted to the changing climate.  Join estate manager, André Tranquilini, biodynamic farmer and gardener, founding member of the Living Seeds, organic and biodynamic seed company, for this step-by-step workshop to help you to obtain the best quality seed from your gardens. Learn how to select, harvest, dry, clean and store your seeds for maximum effect. Refreshments are included in the day. Please bring a packed lunch and dress for the weather.
