A Family of Farms Event
The Family of Farms event will start after the AGM. It will be an exciting collaborative, sharing and learning process around the theme of ‘Succession’. The day will be structured around a series of presentations from our family of farms including their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for succession. There will also be specialists in the room to support and guide the conversation around how succession can work successfully in different farming contexts and regions, including how the Land Trust supports farms with transitions.
The Annual General Meeting
At the AGM our Directors will present reports of activities and finances to shareholders including information about the organisation’s development and strategy, achievements and future prospects. The AGM is also open to non-members.
The indoor aspects of both the AGM and the Family of Farms Workshop follow will take place as an in-person event with a hybrid option on Zoom for those who cannot travel to join us.
Farm Walk
Following the AGM and Family of Farms workshop, we will take a guided walk around Huxhams Cross Farm. It will be fantastic to explore the multiple enterprises on site, including the agroforestry, market garden, arable fields, mixed livestock, and the Apricot Centre. This will be an opportunity to learn, ask the big questions, and take inspiration into your own communities of practice.
Food and Refreshments
Lunch will be included on the day, and provided by local chefs. We appreciate DONATIONS for the cost of lunch and recommend a minimum donation of £15 for lunch and refreshments (please make a donation on this booking link or on the day in cash)
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible and to connecting and learning from one another.
In the meantime, please do get in touch if you have questions or would like to discuss anything.
