own thinking and thought patterns.
Start: Thursday 19th Sept 2024, from 18.00
Ends: Sunday 22nd Sept, 16.00 (GMT)
Venue: Foundation for Water Building, Emerson College, East Sussex, RH18 5JX, UK and elsewhere, with on line session linkups.

This in-person event at Emerson College also invites individuals and groups to participate in locations
around the world, linking up through one online session on each of the four days.
Observing and interacting with fluid movements in water made visible in various ways.
We aim to be attentive, becoming more inquisitive, playful, and creative as time goes on, encouraging a
dialogue with the ever-responsive phenomena of flow in liquid water.
The approach will be introduced by Simon Charter in the opening session on Thursday evening and
practiced through the following days. It will include water flow observation sessions, movement
exercises, reflective periods and discussions.
Contributers: Octavio O Shanahan, Simon Charter, Nigel Wells, Michael Monzies and Philip Kilner.
For active engagement, suggestions for interactive flow studies will be shared in advance with group and
individual participants.
Social interfluence – a word that we take to mean the flux of reciprocal, multidirectional influence,
counter-influence and inter-reliance between us, and between us and our environment. Learning to listen.
