Palazzo Tronconi is an 18th Century eco-boutique hotel set on an elevated position in the medieval town of Arce, giving guests rolling views of the Roman countryside. Lovingly restored by its owner, Marco Marrocco the hotel is individually styled with carefully selected 1930’s furniture and original artworks. It oozes quality, originality and comfort. Combine this with the warm attentive care from the Palazzo Tronocini team and you cannot fail to feel quickly and blissfully “at home”.
Located in the stunning and yet to be discovered Lazio region of Italy, it is easy to get there by flying to either Naples or Rome Airport, where you will be personally collected. This great location also means you can spend a few days extra holiday in either of these amazing cities if you so choose.
Biodynamic wine
Palazzo Tronconi is also the name of a local vineyard with an intriguing family history. Owned by generations of the Marrocco family it was sold by the grandfather, Salvatore, only to be bought back six years ago, by his grandson Marco and here the biodynamic story begins.
Marco set to work to replant a new vineyard and using biodynamic methods, the soul of the vineyard was reborn. Marco also re-discovered abandoned, ancient vines that were historically grown in Arce. Red grape-Lecinaro; white grape-Capolongo, Pampanaro and white Maturano. Marco had not only restored a family vineyard but with it some of the agricultural heritage that had once belonged to this historic village. He has now also created a fabulous eco-winery to complement his vineyards and a brand new restuarant with roof top terrace.
Palazzo Tronconi produces 6 biodynamic wines, 2 gappas, a sparkling wine, a vermouth plus biodynamic olive oil and honey. They also have their very own ‘biodynamic kitchen garden’ producing lots of lovely vegetables, fruits and happy chickens laying eggs.

“My holiday at Palazzo Tronconi was a total delight from start to finish. The quality and attention to detail throughout my stay was outstanding, the food and wine were divinely delicious and the care and friendliness of the Palazzo Tronconi team meant that I relaxed so much I simply did not want to go home. The day with Carlo Noro, was exceptional, and the trips to Casa Lawrence and Sperlonga were breath-taking and great fun in equal measures. Combine all this with (lots of) biodynamic wine, great weather and Italian hospitality, I really felt like I had found a little slice of heaven on earth” Jessica Standing – BDA Office
