Farming Opportunity – Will Hall Farm, Essex

We are in Essex, near the coast and have a 150 acre farm which has been biodynamic for 26 years. We have a 23 cow suckling herd selling stores and 200 laying hens. We combine about 60 acres producing food for our animals and selling some on. The land is mainly grade 1 some grade 2. In the past we had a small pig herd and butchered meat selling through farmers markets.

I am getting old and my son who farms with me had Lyme Disease at 12. He has improved significantly but still gets tired and would find managing a farm difficult but has a lot of knowledge of our machines and animals.

We are looking for someone to help run the farm who would need to either expand existing enterprises or establish new ones to create an income for both families. There are a number of ideas that could be taken further with some enthusiasm and effort.
