Garden Teachers: Nir Halfon
About Nir: Nir has been working with Biodynamics and Land work for over 25 years. Currently, Nir is the Biodynamic Land and Education Manager at Emerson College. During his career, Nir was a farm director and grower at Old Plawhatch farm in Sussex. He taught Biodynamic farming and growing at Emerson and managed horticultural apprenticeships at Plumpton College. Nir completed his foundation year in Anthroposophy in Kibbutz Harduf in Israel in 2000. In addition, he holds a Master’s degree in Environmental and Energy Studies and a diploma in Permaculture. Nir is very passionate about local food systems and the potential of Biodynamics to feed the local community.
