Biodynamic farming is almost 100 years old. It was the first form of sustainable farming system to arise in response to the industrialisation of agriculture. It is one of the highest-performing organic farming systems regarding climate change. It has a great deal to offer farmers and policymakers trying to understand how to produce enough food for an increasing population, whilst reducing carbon emissions from farming to net zero.

The following resources and research papers demonstrate its efficacy

“Carbon sequestration is greater with biodynamic agriculture, showing a 20% increase vs conventional farming.”
Elisabeth Candelario, Biodynamic agriculture, regenerative farming and climate change Online article

“A truly regenerative agriculture is one in which all the natural resources we use to produce food get renewed in the process of using them.” – Fred Kirschenmann

Humus formation is supported using biodynamic activators, composting, appropriate tillage and rotations; all contribute to soil fertility and carbon sequestration:  Fibl

Methane production from biodynamically cultivated land cattle is greatly reduced:  Fibl
