The UK Government’s Sustainable Farming Incentive pilot launched today, 15th March 2021.

The Sustainable Farming Incentive is the first in a package of environmental land management (ELM) schemes, which it is hoped will provide farmers with a way to get paid for sustainable farming, including cleaner water, cleaner air and carbon reduction.

Defra are looking for an initial group of several hundred farmers this year to apply for this first phase of the Sustainable Farming Incentive pilots, from a range of farm types from across England.
