The Rare Dairy
looks forward to welcoming you to The Rare School for this very special workshop.
In the morning session, Andreas & Katharina will introduce their innovative hive the Bienenkugel (Bee Globe) and explain the benefits to the bees (and
humans!), as well as sharing their knowledge of the bees’ needs, natural, sustainable beekeeping and the ‘Edible Bee Forest’ concept, which can be implemented in urban and rural areas, in agriculture and forestry.

In the afternoon session, weather (& presence of bees!)* permitting, we’ll have a practical session in the new orchard and see the Bienenkugel hive in
action. The Bee Globe we’ve built here is the first hive of its kind in the UK – it’s a Rare hive!

We have a set of bee headphones that connect to the Bee Globe, where we hope to share the ‘song of increase’ with you as the bees work

The price for the workshop (from 10.30am – 4.30pm) is £125 (inc.VAT) which includes tea & coffee on arrival and a light lunch, made with certified organic ingredients from our dairy, gardens, fields and hedgerows
