About this course:
This course is an introduction to woodland management with a special focus on biodynamics, in theory and practice. Its objectives are to provide opportunities to build background knowledge and practical skills to enhance and enliven your own practice, and to work towards creating resilient, productive woods.

This six-day course is drawn from Ruskin Mill Trust’s rich biodynamic training:  Growing the Land, Growing People and would suit those wishing to learn how to manage and work practically using biodynamic and traditional hand-tool methods in a small woodland. It is held once a month on a Saturday; starting on 15th November 2025 through till 18th April 2026. For more about Ruskin Mill Educational Trust click here

At the end of this course, Participants will:

• Understand the principles, intentions and basic methods of traditional hands-on, biodynamic woodland management in a small woodland setting
• Have a basic understanding of interactions in the natural world, including soil, plant, animal, human being and cosmos from a biodynamic perspective.

The Farm is located on the Compton Road left down the farm track, after the Kniver Rock Houses and after the junction with Kingsford Lane and Rocky Wall Road. Travel down the narrow track and you will come to a residential house turn immediately right into the car park and then walk up to the farm buildings.   See google map link here
